Foster Carers Needed
Fostering is an exciting and rewarding role and we are currently looking to recruit more Foster Carers across the Nottinghamshire; Nottingham City; Derbyshire and Derby City areas.
Hope Fostering is a small local agency committed to providing stable family homes for local children and providing high quality support to our foster carers. Our recent Ofsted Inspection in December 2015; rated us ‘Outstanding – in Outcomes for Children.’
This would be the ideal opportunity for someone who has previously worked, or currently works with, children and young people but feels that they want to do more. It would also suit a parent whose children are older or have recently left home; or It may be that you are already a Foster Carer and are considering a change of agency. .
As a foster carer you will provide 1-1 care and support to children and young people; including sibling groups; ranging from 0-18 years, although this will generally be for older children.
This is a challenging position but very rewarding so would require applicants to have a strong desire to care for a child or young person and make a difference to their life.
There is no image of the perfect foster carer/family so we would love to hear from people from all walks of life, regardless of age, race, gender or sexual orientation.
Previous experience working with children/vulnerable adults would be an advantage as would previous parenting experience, however this is not essential.
To be a foster carer with Hope Fostering you will be:
- Over 25 years of age.
- Have a spare bedroom in your home.
- Able to drive and have access to a car.
- Not currently providing care for any children in your home under the age of 5
- Have at least one person at home/available during the day.
